My name is Manuel.

I'm a record producer, mixing and mastering engineer based in Turin, Italy.

I'm a dedicated audio enthusiast. I work with great passion and care to give back to the listener the best possible audio experience in terms of feelings and emotions, aiming for an augmented-realistic sound of both acoustic music, electric and electronic music. I love low end frequencies, high contrasts and 4-dimensional mixes that weave compelling narratives.

I started studying music at 11 because of Black Sabbath and Nirvana. I began with piano, then bass guitar, spending most of my life searching for my own voice in various bands and projects, ranging from jazz to post rock, metal, world music, folk, songwriting and electronic music.

I've released several albums, including my own work and those I've produced for other artists. Some of these have been broadcast worldwide on remarkable radio stations such as KEXP, NPR, Gilles Peterson Worldwide FM, BBC6 Iggy Pop Confidential, FIP Radio France, Deutschlandradio Kultur, Rai Radio 3, Rai Radio 2, RSI, Radio Capital and favorably reviewed in magazines like Mojo, Clash, The Quietus, Rumore, Blow Up, Internazionale etc...whatever it means.

​My interest in recording and production began when I was very young, doing demos in garages for friends. In 2007, I was 19 and I took it seriously, learning the craft at the prestigious Red House Recordings in Senigallia (AN) where I had the chance to work as assistant engineer with producers and engineers like Steve Albini, Rob Ellis (PJ Harvey, Marianne Faithfull), Josh Klinghoffer (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beck), David Lenci (One Dimensional Man, Uzeda), and Massimiliano Moccia (Three Second Kiss, Movie Star Junkies).

In 2016, my best friend Simone Pozzi and I built our first recording studio in Turin, named Rubedo Recordings, and things became much more serious (full credits below). After 8 years, we decided to move to a new place near the Dora River, just a few minutes from Turin, and started over with our second self-built recording studio called OKUM STUDIO. Why? Why not!

I'm also an occasional FOH engineer (occasional, but with a lot of fun!). I've worked for festivals such as Ancona Jazz Festival, Torino Jazz Festival, Jazz Is Dead Festival and To Listen To handling live sound for top artists including Antonio Sanchez, Jerry Bergonzi, Jim O'Rourke, Ghosted, Ruth Goller, Rob Mazurek, Dalek, Bendik Giske, Holy Tongue, Mc Yallah and Debmaster, Paolo Angeli, and Tomoko Savage.​

Since 2014 I lead the Rhabdomantic Orchestra making 2 album with german label Agogo Records (K7). With them I've played at some very nice festivals like Cully Jazz Festival, Babel Med Marseille, Jazz Is Dead Festival, Linecheck ...
